Josh completed his first triathlon in 2005. He was instantly hooked after winning his age group despite the fact that he had no background in swimming and barely engaged in any running at the time. Since then, he has vastly increased his multisport skill-set, placing 1st in his age group in nearly every local race. In addition, Josh has qualified and competed in the: 2006 USAT National Age Group Championships, 2007 USAT Long Course World Duathlon Championships and the 2008 USAT Long Course National Championships. His results in 2009 lead to earning USAT All American. Also, it should be noted that he passed on a first-round roll down spot to Kona last year with a 9:53 Ironman Louisville debut!
Josh holds B.S. in Kinesiology; currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology and other allied courses at a local Vo-Tech College; and was the founder of his own company, Endurance Sports Clinic, where he coached a team of endurance athletes. Now, a proud coach of EMG, he blends his own racing knowledge, scientific background and 6 years of personal training experience to deliver solid, real-life results to athletes of all levels.
