As an exercise physiologist, Dorothy understands the demands that training and racing put on the body. She is realistic in designing a training program that fits your athletic abilities while taking into account the amount of time you want to train as well as your commitments (family and work) and life! Dorothy has a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Oregon and is a USA Triathlon Level II Expert Coach who specializes in women specific triathlon training & coaching. Dorothy is nationally certified as a Clinical Exercise Specialist and Health Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine and as a Personal Strength Trainer by the American Council of Exercise. Dorothy is 45 years old and competes nationally in both short and long-course road and Xterra off-road triathlon, ultra trail marathons and mountain biking. She is a 2-time IronMan finisher (Florida & Lake Placid) and has successfully competed in and placed in races such as the SOS (Survival of the Shawangunks), the Downieville Classic Mountain Bike Race, the Vermont 50 Mountain Bike Race. Dorothy earned the title of Xterra Regional Champion in the female 45-49 AG. She has successfully competed in and finished Xterra Nationals in Lake Tahoe and Xterra World championships in Maui.
