FFT is a leading triathlon, cycling, and endurance sports coaching organization for individuals and teams nationwide. Operating from hubs in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and Madison, Wisconsin, FFT partners with local elite-athlete coaches to combine their hard-earned experience and knowledge with a high-yield, periodized and scientific training system that has proven time and time again to produce results.
We offer customized training plans delievered via Training Peaks, as well as discounted training plans for groups of 4 or more training for the same race. In additon to the training plan, we specialized in swim, bike and run form analysis, Lactic threshold testing, and race day pacing and strategy.
Our Training philosphy is focused on high quality, high intensity training, with minimal junk mileage. Workouts are specific, focused, and to the point. Athletes see results quickly and predictibly, and improve their performances over all race distances from sprint to Ironman.
We work with athletes of all levels, from complete beginners, to seasoned professionals. Whether you want to finish your first sprint tri, or stand at the top of the podium, FFT can help you achieve those results.
Triathlon, Ironman, running, cycling. Making you fast!
I grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2008, with a double major in mechanical engineering and industrial design. I started as an FFT coached athlete in 2009, which lead me to multiple PRs and an age group podium at the Ironman World Championships. I made more progress in the first 6 weeks working with FFT than I had made in the previous 3 years. Training under the FFT philospohy, I continue to improve every year, setting a 20' Ironman PR at the World Championships in 2011, with a 9:06 finish and another age group podium!
The 2012 season will be my third as an FFT coach. I have experience working with single sport and multisport athletes ranging from weekend warriors to those working to break into the elite levels of sport. I've coached athletes to numerous age group wins, World Championship podiums, personal bests, and first time race finishes.
Through my own experience, I've come to realize that triathlon training does not have to be a full time job. Three of my elite level athletes work full time or are doctoral students, and all three continue to improve, even on very limited training time. I know what you need to do to get faster, and it doesn't take 30hrs a week.
Its never too late in the season to get started. Contact me for more information and to get started.
